Make an Artist's Book or a Zine

Make a Zine

sample zineThere's a fine line between artists' books and zines. ZInes tend to be less focused on crafts and materials and are often made using a printer or photocopier. If you are someone who doesn't enjoy detail work and you just want to quickly get your great ideas out there, a zine might be right for you!

There are many templates you can find online. Many zines don't require a binding and are just folded. Bound zines are often just stapled in pamphlet form.

The CCAD Packard Library has a growing collection of zines that you can check out or or read in the library for inspiration. And by the way, the Library is happy to accept zine donations from students to add to our collection. Send information about your zines to us at: library@ccad.edu
