How to Do Library Research

How to Find Background Information

Find background information @ CCAD!

  1. Check the Reference tab in a LibGuide related to your topic for specialized sources.
  2. Do a simple search in OneSearch to see what you can find.
  3. Look for bibliographies in your textbook to find background information.
  4. Browse the library reference collection and circulating stacks.
  5. Google it! Use websites like Wikipedia as a springboard for ideas, not as your only source.
