OhioLINK Is a consortium of academic libraries in Ohio that provides access to:

• 48+ million books and other library materials
• 62,000 e-books
• 26,000 theses and dissertations from Ohio students
• CCAD is a member of OPAL (Ohio Private Academic Libraries - the pink circle) which is why our library catalog says OPAL on it!
• OPAL libraries joined OhioLINK.as a group (purple circle), so we are members of OhioLINK, too.

SearchOhio is a consortium of public libraries in the state of Ohio that lets you borrow books, movies and music. It partners with OhioLINK to provide service to academic libraries.

Borrowing from OhioLINK & SearchOhio

• You can request items to come to the CCAD Library. Easy peasy!
• Are you a distance learner? If you are in Ohio you can have items sent to an OhioLINK library closer to you. Find more info HERE.
• How long will it take? Items usually arrive within 3-4 days. 
• In a hurry? You can also go to another OhioLINK library with your CCAD ID and check out just as if you were a student there! Awesome!
• Still in a hurry? Unfortunately, you can't use your CCAD ID at SearchOhio libraries. However, if you live in Ohio, even as an out-of-state student, you can get a library card for any Ohio public library! The closest SearchOhio library is the Columbus Metropolitan Library at 96 S. Grant Ave.
• How will I know it's arrived? When your items are ready for pick up you will get an email in your CCAD email account. 
• How long can I have it?
  • Most books go out for 21 days, videos and DVDs for 7. This may differ for SearchOhio items, depending on the home library.
  • OhioLINK items are eligible for up to 6 automatic renewals. You can renew books up to 6 times if there are no holds on the item.  AV materials are sometimes not renewable. Please check the OhioLINK sticker or slip for details.
  • Renew SearchOhio items online at My Account. You can also call us or come to the library. Make sure you renew items BEFORE they are due.
