Types of Information Sources

Curious about primary sources? Check out our Subject Guide: Using Primary Sources

Scholarly Communication

Let's look at scholarly (or academic) communication. Academics (aka professors or scholars) communicate through academic articles, books, conference papers and other academic publications.

The publishing process for these publications often involves ‘peer review’, a process in which other academics in the same field assess the information to check that it meets the requirements for an academic publication. Watch these videos for more information.

Subject Guides

The librarians at CCAD have put together a series of Subject Guides. They can direct you to a variety of information sources.
